Welcome
My Story
From a childhood immersed in the lush landscapes of rural Panama, where I was surrounded by mountains, rivers, big trees, and colorful wildlife, grew a profound love for nature and a commitment to its preservation. Despite facing challenges like poverty and discrimination, my passion for environmental science led me to pursue degrees in biology, education, and environmental engineering. Through experiences ranging from conducting environmental impact assessments to mentoring students and volunteering in underserved communities, I developed a deep desire to empower others to become environmental stewards, a mission that I continue to pursue through research, teaching, and community engagement. My journey is about more than academic achievements; it is about a lifelong commitment to making a positive impact on the world, one student, one project, and one community at a time. My work and mission are shaped by the conviction expressed in 1 Corinthians 15:10: “By the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain.”
